BSA MedSoc Postgraduate and Early Career Researcher Event

The BSA Medical Sociology Group is pleased to announce a new event for 2014, exclusively for postgraduate and early career researchers: 

BSA MedSoc Early Career Researcher Summer Event 2014 

9th June, Cardiff University, 9am - 5pm. Lunch provided 

£15 BSA Members/ £20 non

The aim of this event is to provide an informal arena in which postgraduate students and early career researchers can discuss ongoing, or recently completed, research. We welcome papers from research in the field of medical sociology, and topics are encouraged from a wide spectrum; including (but not limited to) theory, methodology, provisional findings or problems encountered/issues that have arisen. 

In addition, we are pleased to announce that Professor Gareth Williams will be the key note speaker for this event, as well as offering a Q&A session for attendees. 

Please send all abstracts to (200 words) 

The abstract submission deadline is *Monday 7th April 2014* 

Abstracts received after this date will not be considered. 

Notification of acceptance on/before *Monday 14th April 2014.* 

Deadline for registration (attendance only) *Monday 26th May 2014* 

The event will run from 9am-5pm and will consist of a number of short presentations (20min presentation, 10min discussion). *Please note that lunch will be included but attendees are encouraged to source their own accommodation.*
