Articles & Commentaries
We welcome articles of between 4000 and 6000 words to include all text and references.
Articles reporting empirical research are especially welcome and should include an abstract of up to 200 words clearly stating the research aims and objectives.
A full description of the research methodology is required including details of ethical considerations. Any limitations of the study should be clearly stated. Please state the word count on the first page.
Articles offering critical commentaries on medical sociology topics are also welcome; please use this form to submit and put 'n/a' in any inappropriate fields on the form.
Awards
We are delighted to be able to publish Abstracts from recent completed PhD Theses and would like to hear from you if you been successful in gaining an award - or if you have recently supervised a successful student - so we can share the good news with the medical sociology community.
The awards will be published as we receive them, as well as in the formal Journal which is published 3 times a year. Please be aware that we may take steps to validate the details before publication.
Abstracts should ideal be no more than 200 words long and should be submitted electronically, through the journal website.
Book Reviews
We welcome book reviews of up to 800 words.
If you have a book you would like to submit for review, in the first instance, please email brief details to the Journal Administrator at: admin@medicalsociologyonline.org
News Items
We welcome relevant items of news that are of interest to the readers of MSo such as events, calls for papers and new appointments. News items should be no more than 150 words long and should be submitted electronically, through the journal website.
